Deadly Curse Of The Devils Pool

By MarkHall

The Aboriginal curse on a north Queensland creek has claimed the lives of more than a dozen people in mysterious, tragic circumstances. Locals say at least fourteen people have perished in the Devil’s Pool at The Boulders near Babinda north of Cairns.

Legend says a beautiful Aboriginal girl drowned there, and her ghost still haunts the place – cursing intruders and sending them to their deaths.

Victims are sucked from the rocks beside the water by a powerful force. The rare few who have survived tell of an energy pulling them under the freezing water.

Locals won’t go anywhere near the Boulders, and would never dare swim in the creek.

But despite the – DANGER – signs, tourists continue to flock to the Devil’s Pool, attracted by the crystal-clear, but deadly waters.
